Clara Milo
Raised in Montreal, Clara Milo’s bohemian entourage and early exposure to art have influenced her to tirelessly push the boundaries of narrative aesthetics. Whether it’s on paper or behind the lens, Milo's otherworldly storylines most often gravitate around magic realism, which she thrives to pair with raw, heart-wrenching performances.
In March 2021, she won the very first Denis Villeneuve coup-de-cœur award for her monumental short film Aska at gala Prends ça Court, adding onto an array of festival prizes and recognition. Now gearing up for her debut feature film Solastalgia, Clara seeks to popularize the genre of environmental fiction, wherein the sublime may arise through the characterization of Nature.
